The Wraith is getting a heart transplant....:D

Sweet! 4s!4s!4s!4s!4s!4s!4s!

Ha ha, I don't think the Pro4 is 4s rated Lloyd. Seeing vids of it running on 3s in high on the two speed, I'm not sure you could keep it on the ground anyway. :D I have quite a few 2s 4000 packs, that's most likely what it will run on the majority of the time here at the house, and even that looks to have enough speed to keep me happy.

Been working on the Wraith tonight. Picked up a Robitronic clamping servo horn, the factory Hitec horn was hitting the bumper, and the draglink / panhard weren't parallel either. They're perfect now, and this completes my bomb proof steering setup

Got the motor all wired up and installed also.

I got in a short test run in the house, and I was only using a 2s pack. I need to do some tuning for low gear crawling (or possibly check my sensor harness), but in high gear all I can say is, this thing is team short bus approved. HOLY :censored: this thing is nasty!!

nice new heart u got there that thing should do standing back flips on 4s

Thanks guys! I never drove the Wraith with the stock trans and motor, but I'd guess on a 2s pack it's as fast as a stock truck, probably 15-20mph. Fixed the low RPM issue, the sensor wire wasn't quite all the way in on the ESC. It crawls great now, very little difference between the pro4 and the 35T brushed motor I had in low range.

Just came in from my first full pack, slipper is still slipping occasionaly, and it's 1/8 from all the way tight, guess I'll crank it on down or look into another slipper setup. I got around 40min with a 4000mah pack, mostly short blasts up hills second gear under high load, and could lay my finger on the motor endlessly (didn't grab the temp gun since it never got warm enough to worry about), even at the end of the pack at LVC (3.2v per cell for me). Racing tomorrow, but got a new spot scoped out for next weekend to go shoot some dirt hills on 3s. I couldn't be happier with this thing, honestly I'm ecstatic at how the motor / ESC combo works. Too much fun!

Looks like I'm going to have to go to the Slash slipper setup on my AX2 trans, after installing the pro4 I can't get the stock one to hold at all. I even tore it down, scuffed up the slipper plate and cleaned / de-glazed the slipper pad, but no dice. The pro4 is a BEAST! :D

That's the best I've ever looked at! BRAVO!

Thanks Jsmith, but there a lot of nice Wraith builds here at RCNT.

Remember kids, loctite, loctite, loctite! :D I could swear I loctited these, but maybe not.

Well, I spun a hex in the Pro Line wheels the other day. I'm guessing the weight of the Wraith, the tenacious grip of the Pit Bulls, and the pro4 just don't play nice together. :D So it was time for some new shoes, and I chose the Gear Head Trail King EZ locs. Only 6 screws hold the beadloc ring on, and I can pull as hard as I want and the bead isn't coming loose. Very happy with them.

You can change the offset by simply unbolting the hub and flipping the wheel

We'll see how they hold up with my driving :hehe:

Nice, way better. Prolines spin hubs on crawlers like no other.

Thanks Lloyd, yeah all it took was getting bound up in the rocks and a bit of throttle, and POP. I think I can salvage the Pro Line to use on the MERV by epoxying a hex hub into it, it didn't look like it rounded it very much at all.

These came in today; with the days getting shorter, it's usually dark when I get home, but I'm not letting that stop me.

The 5" light bar (230 lumens) is the only light on in the house, no lights outside here at night either

I waterproofed the board on the light bar with conformal coating, then hit it with liquid tape since I think the black looks better. Also got the delrin housing cut, sanded, drilled and tapped and put into my mount. Next up will be tearing the Wraith apart yet again to wire up all the new lights.

Yeah, I still have to do it to all the electronics in the Wraith also. Wishing now I had waited on the coating to arrive before putting everything in, but I couldn't stand it, had to drive it with the pro4. You know, that whole 90% thing. :D

Got these for a helluva deal, re-machined Raceline Monsters. I didn't like the look of the beadlock rings they came with, so I ordered some new ones from the good folks at Mayhem Engineering. The wheels are anodized black, then re-machined for sliver accents, so I went for a flipped look with silver rings and black hardware, and I'm pretty happy how they turned out. They came with a set of boggers on them, which I proceeded to cut, should make a great bash tire, they hooked up pretty darn good before being cut. For anyone curious, there are 56 small lugs on each 2.2 bogger. :D
