Not 100% sure. I have kits that make that noise when spinning the wheels but they do it when either side is spun. I also have kits that dont make any noise when you spin the tires by hand. Id take the diff apart and inspect it.

Alright, I’ll try to do that! Weirdly, if I take the wheel off and pull the throttle the hex spins freely when the motor is powering it but then stops and starts going backwards while the other continue moving forwards??
 
you thought there was a issue you ask. heck id just take it apart and see
