Makes me wonder if they got the overheating issues resolved. There is no hole in the windshield like mini XRT. Now I wish we could get a body without the hole in the windshield for the mini XRT!

What they need is to put a heatsink and cooling fan on it but it's Traxxas, they'll never do that because its too cost effective. 🤣
And when customers burn up their motor bearings/motor or speedo because of the heat they can trade it in for the warranty to make even more money...
They only do that because of that. Traxxas has been using the same 4 pole VXL system with overheating issues and also fire potential for like 10 years now. So they can make everything simple in their ecosystem. 🫠 🤔 :thumbs-up:

Something tells me the old 1/16 line is about to be scrapped.
I really hope not, because that just leaves the nitro revo with the cantilever suspension left, and if they discontinue that, I'm not gonna be happy.

I just looked at the exploded view and it looks like it does come with an esc fan, it's also listed under features. That's definitely a step in the right direction!

I was thinking on the motor.
VXLs always have ESC fans. But never the motor.

$429?

Noooo thank you..

You can get a 4tec 2.0 vxl for 329 minus the body. So what 40 more on a body. $370... what makes this mini one worth $60 more then a 4tec vxl?
Never mind! I don't wanna get this car! Holy moly! $429 for a 1/10 rally car with crappy diffs, proprietary electronics and stupid quality issues, upgrades needed out of the box to make it real good, plastic shocks, undersized battery tray, crappy servo, and no heat sink on the motor?!?! Holy get a grip Traxxas. They are gonna run themselves out of business if they keep doing this. I could buy a really nice used 6s kraton or notorious for that price. and it will probably have upgrades! AND, Its 1/8!

Well, first it's not a 4Tec chassis, so there is some R&D to pay for.

Paying for the name

Not for that name I'm not 😅

That's not how that works.
But they do count on folks thinking that way when they jack the price up we'll over what its worth.

Go ahead then, educate us on a manufacturer's other opportunities to cover costs and make a profit.
