that looks pretty awesome to wanna fly.

I gotta get me a sim and start learning.

Flying just seems more of a challenge through long hours of practice to achieve the skill to land and then be able to fly again.

well I will see if its fun to fly lol I have put in about 200 hours on real flight sim.. I still need to buy about 600$ to 800$ in gear so buy spring ill be ready..

holy hell......$600 to $800 in gear?

I will stick to the ground and play in the dirt and mud

well if I wanted to I could drop another 250 300$bones and be flying in no time..but I want to buy allmost the best things i can get.and I do have the time to wait the weather is poop now so ill buy one or two things at a time for it.. the little things add up. Not to mention I have to take it to my LHS so they can go over it before it takes flight..

Be safe flying that thing... I praticed flying a heli on my sim and I went where it wanted to go I could not control that thing what so ever..

Well I can fly a heli just fine in realflight...but it's a total different ball game when it's the real thing

So do you still have all the radio gear to buy?

yep radio gyro and well iam at it serovos.reciver and the rest of the support gear..needed..

I have talked to several people about flight on the sim and the real deal.
ALL have said that when you take to flight on the real thing that the heli is not so twitchey.. smoother. and easer to controll.

Your goinng to have a trainer right? if you dont have a trainer you really should look for one just incase ..... Even if they say it will be easier to fly in real life there is always they one chance that something will go wrong ...

Ya I thought about it but thats about as far as I got with that idea lol.
I will have a secondary gyro called 'The Copilot' rolex turned me on to this..it will at any time return your heli to an up right position buy just letting go of the sticks.. I hope it works

Well if you weren't so far up north, you could go to my flying field. We have a great training program.

Also, wherever you fly, make sure there is absolutely no one around just in case it gets out of control. While flying in the sim might be harder than real life, you'll find it's a lot harder in real life just because it's 10x as stressful...there's no reset button.

I love it...... Rolex said some thing about body fluids while learning lol

Okay, i looked in AMA's website for sanctioned flying fields. It would be a VERY good idea to try to find one even if it's somewhat of a drive...trust me

Sounds good. Let me know how it goes. Make sure to ask if they fly helicopters, and how their training program is for people starting out. Ask about availability of instructors.

Also check how much their yearly dues are. You'll have to keep that in mind because you'll be paying that, and an AMA yearly membership (dunno how well off you are)

It is more epensive to fly at a flying club but to me, it's really the only way to go. All the liabilities are put on the club and AMA so if you kill someone, you won't lose all your assets. Plus, you can learn a lot from being around people who've flown for a long time.

sounds good to me and well worth it. the dues out weigh some one taking my properties over a law suit any day..

One thing nice about helicopters is that after you get very proficient at flying them, you'll find fly a plane is actually really easy. You will have god like control with a plane.

My first pattern contest was against a helicopter flier. He had such good rudder control....which means some major ownage in the sportsman class.
