What would be the best and first reccomended hop up part to buy for my new Sport Maxx??

Motor Saver Air Filter
Aluminum Shocks

The first 2 IMO are must haves.

I completely Agree with robmob.
Then after that with some more $$$ you might want

skid plates
CVDs
Steering servo
RPM arms

High-torque metal gear steering servo

Fuel filter, air filter, hump pack, fail safe and/or throttle return spring.

After that RPM parts are always a good thing.

From there better steering servo, better wheels, better engine, ...or whatever you can afford.
