I finally got an onroad out of the FS/FT Forum. It is a MTX-3 with the MT12 engine, RS200 Rx that I will use my Xs3 Tx for, Futaba 9450, snd 9451 digital servo's, and a Dynomite fail safe. Looks in great shape, but every time I get time to run it, it rains. I'll give it untill Sunday, and then I'll sneak into a parking garage that doesn't have many cars in it on the weekend. Probably a nicer car than I needed for my first onroad, but thats OK with me. I'll be seaching these onroad forums for info, and probably have some dumb newb questions. That is untill it quits raining anyway.

You couldn't have chosen a better car.
Be careful running indoors if there are any poles. The speed of the car combined with any oil on the surface of the parking lot can spell disaster.

Grats on owning one of the best on road cars ever made.

I think I know who's car that was. If i'm right, you got a hell of a car. I saw it on the forum, and thought of buying it myself, but I just bought a new Kyosho on road 4 days before that went up for sale.
Good luck with it man. It's a beauty.

You can goto www.mugenracing.com for set-ups. I would also reccomend going into the messege board and opening up the MTX-3 threads. There's ALOT of information about the car. Goodluck.

I can't say enough about the MTX-3. If u have any questions feel free to ask. I will help you out.

It's the same car in my sig.

Ran a tank though it on the starter box yesterday. They say its a good idea when switching fuels. Motor runs awsome, but it seems as though there is something binding it the rear end. The ground was wet, so I didn't run it to see how it acts on the ground. I know another guy with a MTX-3, and he said the outer belts are really tight when new, and they will loosen with time, since there aren't any adjustment to them. He also said it only seems to happen in the rear, because of the one way bearing in the front. Like I said, I'm new to on-road, and really green behind the ears when it comes to belt drive. It looks nice out today, so I'm going to go run it in a while. I'll let you know the outcome tonight, or tomarrow.

Ratzo, your probably right, though the seller wasn't from NY. I mostly wanted to give props to the FS/FT forums for those that might read this, but not look in there. I think I got a heck of a deal, and thank the seller. It is the first used thing I've ever bought online, and would have bought it sooner if I had seen it. I only look in the FS/FT's every so often.

Later,
Chris

The only belt u can adjust is the center belt, the one behind the pipe. As far as the binding, if u mean the wheels move a little hard, yes it's normal.

Glad to have a second opinion. Went to run it today, and forgot my Tx in a hurry. *&%@$#&$#$!( The only other Tx's around were am, fm with the wrong crystal, or in use, so I hope to run it tomarrow.
