new to nitro

is it normal for my tmax 3.3 to rev up really high when i aply the brakes...

no its not normal..

does the engine RPM stay high or just for a second?

When u give it full throttle for over 5 seconds, does it bog down or stall? if so the HSN is too lean, rich it out 1/8 increment at a time(Counter-Clock).

It stays reved up for a long time I've only been into nitro for two months
And this is my second motor the first motor did the same thing
until the rod broke

It doesn't bog down it runs great good blue smoke just acts like ur down shifting from 5th to 1st in a real car

idle screw

turn your idle screw(under carb)counter clockwise til you see about a 1.5mm gap in carb to set your idle,remove air filter also to see your carb slide move.hate to see you ruin another engine.

Dont forget to adjust the idle gap with the brakes applied to ensure the proper 1mm gap.
