Hey guys I'm pretty New to Nitro and stuff. I got hurt my ankle a few months ago and will be out of Paintball for a good 5 months so I decided to get into the Nitro scene I bought a rs4 2 I believe the shop told me and got it zippin around the parkin lot pretty fast but I guess I ran it to lean and bent the connecting rod So the next day I went to the local shop looking to replace the part and ended up leaving with a ready to run Nitro TC3 played with it a few days and just got done puttin in the 2 speed for it. now does anyone here know how to get it to have the 2nd gear kick in a little sooner?
and about the TC3 good car? worth setting it up? Speed wise what to do?

Thanks
Medsoldier

Welcome welcome! Nitro Rocks! I havent had any experience with the TC# but there has to be an adjustment screw for the shift point.

This is a qutoe off of AE web forum:

I have not been able to get my nitro to shift, or at least I don't think so. The 2 speed makes a noticeable (loud) shifting sound right?

You will not hear our two-speed shift. Rather you will listen for a change in engine rpm. We recommend that you start with the two-speed adjustment at about 3 turns out.

welcome to nitro, i have a tc3 and all i have to say is GET READY FOR SOME SERIOUS FUN. i think you made the right choise when you picked a ae. :contract: < when you see this guy dont say anything!!!!!!!!

Anyone happen to have a spare connecting rod for a 15fe HPI? I would like to get my HPI up and runnin again. Thanks for the welcome I'm sure I'm gonna reallly like these cars once I can get the hang of them

Welcome medsoldier and big boi to RCNT.

Here is a link for the only .15 HPI con rod I could find:

You should get a part number and make sure thats the one for your engine.

Good Luck,
Rob

I would knife edge that con rod if I bought it. I need to buy an old engine to play with. I really want to try porting after Ed was telling me about it.

This is going off topic, but I read there is a how-to port the TRX .15 engine. By now, they might have a how-to for that 2.5 thing. Taking a dremel to the inside of any $100+ engine turns my stomach. Good Luck if you try it.

What about the people that take a Dremel to their $400+ engines. I figured I'd try to buy an old trx .15 pro engine for like $20 bucks or something just to try it. Or maybe one of those cheaper OS engines.

i think if anyone who goes inside an engine over 200$ is asking for it, but when someone goes inside an engine over 400$ has a death wish:stupid:
