Sense its your first nitro ,your hands will be full in just learning how to break-in the engine ,maintaining it.
I wouldn't worry about any mods yet until you learn your rides character an what needs to be done to yet.

Upgrade things as you break them, avoid replacing everything with aluminium that doesn't need to be aluminium, and for speed, a good tune and reduction of weight are the things to do.
