I was given an E-Maxx.
I want to get it up and running.

Here is what I am starting with....

I need a body, body posts ( I might add to traxxas order if I can, looks like they updated the parts and I might have to get new shock towers ), some tools, batteries, charger, and transmitter. I might get a whole new tx/rx setup. I will probably ask about that shortly.

Looks like they updated the posts. So I had to get a set. Cheaper on ebay...

What I got from traxxas...
I forgot how fast small parts add up.

I do want to throw out a radio question...
Should I get a traxxas radio (old school with crystal), a new traxxas setup, or something all new and different??

@TacRacing I would go with either a Traxxas 2.4Ghz radio system that you can get for cheap on eBay or get a new 2.4Ghz system from Futaba or Spektrum.

Back in the 90's , my B-law had gotten a E-max when they first come out ,his had the shift on the fly ,
so you may have to have a 3 rd. channel radio system for the shift!....

I'm not a Traxxas or a 1/10th scale fan lately, but the E-Maxx is a nice platform when you get them decked out. If This Were my project I would order all the Pro-Line upgrades for it online, A-Arms, Carriers, Shock Towers, Body Mounts etc, the works. I would also ditch those heavy slow Titan Motors and upgrade them with the HPI GT 550's (E Savage motors) they're lighter, faster and have more torque or you could ditch the power system all together and go with a dual brushless setup instead or a single Mamba Monster 8th scale system like I have in my Traxxas Summit I have posted. As far as a nice radio goes I would order a 2.4Ghz FlySky radio like a 3 channel GT3X or GT3C from www.hobbypartz.com . For the price their damn hard to beat and they're great budget radios for ground vehicles and I have one of each of the radios I recommended as well as spectrum and Airtronics systems.

Thanks for the info guys!
Yeah, I am not up to date on radios at all.
Before I got out of RC, I had two great radios.
My favorite that I got some use out of was the JR Racing XS3 Pro.

I bought an Airtronics M11 and got the spektrum module for it.
I think I used it once. Maybe twice.
