First off I want to thank ImBroken for hooking me up with an original Clod Buster hard body. I really wanted one of these...THANKS MAN! And yes, this is an original ImBroken paintjob! LOL.

I will be using this as a shelf body for my Clod crawler since I wont want to tear it up once it is done. I will need to fill the multiple body holes drilled in to it over the years, and throw a nice paint job on it. I will also be replacing the little air scoop with a huge blown motor. I would like to find the grille with the chevy logo on it as well as a front bumper.

I can't wait to get started on this body...

Wow, that is one sweet ass paint job... lol I painted that body over 10yrs ago..
With a lil TLC & some body work, that things gonna look kick ass on the crawler man...
Remember to post some pics of the restoration process... It's not often we have a hard body on RCNT...

I definately will! This will be the first hard body I have done, other than 1:24 scale models. I'm gonna start stripping it down today and begin filling the holes.

A hard body is made of hard plastic rather than lexan, they are solid, not flexable like a lexan body. They are painted on the outside of the body where as the lexan bodies are painted on the inside.

I think I might have a hard body around.
Same one as your NCnitro.
Lemmi look.

Mind if I post this here?
It was ready for paint a long time ago.
The windows and roll bars were removed for painting, and the front bumper too.
And then my wife removed them and tossed them out with the trash!
Sorry NC, not for sale or donation.
I will have a crawler again. Muhaha.

That would be cool if you got one too Ratzo! You can find the missing pieces you need on ebay. I really want to try and get the Grille with the chevy emblem as well as a new window (wish they made a clear one), and a front bumper for mine. I started stripping mine but I gotta pick up some filler for the holes and some really fine sandpaper.

Hellion, what measurements did you want for the body? Just the wheel base or the length and width too?

Do you know what scale it is And if you are positive it's not made anymore then I could use it to make a mold with out hurting it. Do you know the name of the companie so I could contact them and ask if it would be ok to do this? They might be cool with it if it's discontinued

I believe it's a 1/10th scale bodiy. It's made by Tamiya, for the Clod Buster Electric MT.
Parma has already started making a Lexan version of the Hard Body Lid. You can still find them on Ebay though, for around $40..

I think they are still made but only sold with the Clod Buster kit. I did see one as a body only nib but it was kind of steep, around $110. You can also find them new from parted out kits on ebay, and used ones from $10 and up. BUT if you were to make a clear windshield for one, I don't believe anyone makes one, I'm sure you could sell the hell out of them. I want the first one though, lol! It should be simple for you if you have the equipment to make bodies. Heres a link to one...

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. He also has a listing for a new windshield new in package, lol. That one was $6 though.

Would anybody be interested in a full size van hard shell? I can post a pic tonight if somebody is interested?
