I saw traxxas put out a new version of the slayer. It's supposed to be wider among other things. I dont own a short course truck.. but I heard stories of the originals rolling over WAY too easily.. probably why the new version is wider. Does anyone know if it's any better than the original?

I didnt even know they were still doing anything with the Slayer, I figured they prolly didnt sell well at all.

the whole nitro SC scene appears to be dead. Here's hoping the Jammin SC10and perhaps things like the traxxas model brings decent SC nitro racing to the track.

Being that I'm more of a nitro guy I would like to see things turn around for the Nitro SC. I have nothing against electric rc, but I told myself a long time ago to stick with one or the other. So far it's been working out. lol

I agree 100% about SC staying popular, and the nitro side taking off. It's popularity has done wonders for the our industry. There's some really cool nitro sc trucks available from Ofna, Kyosho, and even Cens is cool looking. I've found it impossible to stick with one or the other. I'm never satisfied.:)

I'm hoping to see some reviews on it before I purchase one

If you decide to pick one up, and find it's too narrow, it's easy enough to throw a Revo suspension on it.:)

I'm sure that it would be if it's a revo chassis. They should offer offset wheels for it and wider bodies if it has too many problems. That fixed my revo's issues with running the long travel rockers

I said the same thing, then brought a SC10 so I could race more often and my nitro's have not been used in about 4 weeks :-( because of the weather.

Electric is awesome if you have indoor tracks locally so you can still race when the weather is bad.
