So I purchased a Slash 4X4 vxl for Christmas with some advice from the forum members here. I'm over the 30 day warranty period and I'm having some issues with the ESC..( I think). Being my first electric, I've had to call Traxxas to troubleshoot. NO matter if I put in a 2s or 3s the truck runs at about 30% of the normal speed and makes a strange squeaking sound when I pull the trigger all the way.
Well, they want me to send in the motor/esc and charge me a fee to replace them, so I've decided to get something different. I just plan on bashing and will probably just run the 2s and 3s that I have since on the 3s its plenty fast and gets hard to control at that speed. I don't need anything high end but I want something reliable and cool running. Waterproof would be a plus but could do without I suppose. Any suggestions you guys have would help me a lot.
