Hello all. New to the site and Nitro as well. Have a co worker that gave me the fever for nitro.

Picked up a savage X on CL. Got truck for a good buy, but after some runs came to conclusion engine was tiered.

Orded new nitro SH .28 (let friend be the tester, bought his first and runs great). Started my break in by just idle, Done. then did idle to quarter throttle, done. All was well. Next day went to run to half throttle. Wont even drive five feet now. What gives??

I have made sure I back at stock settings and even tried to set where my friends SH is at (same truck too). Nothing

I have done lsn test and will idle fine for min with 1-2 mil gap. After that just cuts out if get on throttle more than 1/8. Have tried lean and richen 1/8 turns. Nothing seems to even remotely help. This fun hobby has not been very fun at all to say the least.

Any help is welcome. sorry for long post.

From what your saying I would try leaning the hsn a bit till it runs good and check your temps
What plug are you running, I run an os #8 and I would have to say its the most easiest engine I have to tune

Is it bogging down like its running rich before it quits running, or is it idling high like it is lean before it quits. I know this hobby can be troubling sometimes but do not give up.
