ok I have my savage almost together an dhave great tips on the servos I'm going to get now I need a reciever and remote suggestions. anyone have some good suggestions?

If your on a budget Id suggest the Flysky GT3B. If you go that route Id look into doing at least a couple of the mods that are out there for it. Lipo conversion mod is a must IMO. The Steering Wheel bearing mod is a good one. If your really into modding stuff you can order a mod kit that will allow you to flash 3rd party firmware upgrades for faster response times and more options.

If you want a really nice radio and have some coin to spend Id suggest the Futaba 4PL. Its a 4Ch TX and is highly programmable. Theyre about $250 bucks or so though.

what about recievers. i think thats what they're called. where the servos plug in? or do controllers come with their own?

Most controllers come with one but read on the one you want to make sure.

and +1 on the flyskyGT3B , works great for me and with some 2200mah battery's it will run most of the day as long as you remember to shut it of inbetween run's LOL

Awesome thankyou  for the help I am on somewhat of a budget but eBay has been good to me so far. And I need servos found a few Online.

I ordered my Flysky GT3B today should be here in a week or so enough time to look and figure out how much money I'm goning to have to spend on servos haha.
:hehe:

I'm talking about doing the lipo mod to the the Flysky GT3B not to the Savage. That lipo pack is an almost exact fit in the GT3B once you removed the AA battery tray.

Oh! Duh wow. That's awesome it has a plug for it then?

If you just need a cheap one for charging 4S or smaller lipos then Look at the Thunder AC6 on www.hobbypartz.com. If you want one with a little more power you can get the AC680 for just a few bucks more. Technically they do up to 6S lipos but it takes a little longer to do the bigger lipos.

Gotcha the battery stuff is way new to me thank you so much!

Also look at the Hitec servos 7940 and 7950 both are lipo capable just can remember the torque thinking the 7950 is over 400

The Thunder AC680 is good one as well had mine for 2 years with no problems

nice vid greywolf , did you make one on the framewear

Thanks :) I'm going to. I ordered the kit like 2 or 3 months ago but and I havent completed it yet....I got side tracked with some builds. I think when I'm done with the build I'm working on now I'll go back and finish it up. I do have one for the bearing mod but I need to go back and redo that vid or at least the intro into that vid. When I first did it I wasn't sure that i liked the mod because it totally changed the way it felt and I was used to the old way so the first part of the video is me giving my inital impressions of the mod and how unsure I was if the mod was a good thing or a bad thing. Now that I've had it that way for quite some time now i love it and Id do it again in a heart beat :)

Yes there was a couple savox servos I was looking at bit retail pricey lol. Both would be more than I paid for the kit. But eBay of the other hand has them for less just building funds.

And great videos lots of help for me! I greatly appreciate it!

The stock throttle brake servo is ok to use for awhile but I would get a savox steering servo for it ASAP. :)

well I guess the kit doesn't come with the servos but if you wanted to wait a bit on that servo a stock Savage throttle servo or even one from a Losi XXL, TMAXX etc will work fine.
