i know all that, this aint my first time with a nitro, but thats the problem, if i turn the idle screw an hour lean, it wont stay alive, if i turn it an hour rich, it idles at like 900-1000 rpm. damn traxxas piece of crap.

It's not just your idle screw but the magic spot between your idle setting and your LSN. You don't need to go a 'one hour' turn at a time either. It might just need 3 minutes. Just a HAIR of a turn.

yea, just building it for a stand wouldnt b worth it for me. it worked perfectly too. i just need to figure out a way to make the boat sit on the trailer while pulling out. almost fell off last night while pulling outa the water. thinking about a servo mounted on the front of the trailer and just putting a small eyebolt on the front of the boat.

get one of those 360 degree servos and make a winch for it

nah, then i would have to manually hook it on. I'm thinking either a servo with a little hook on it, or a pressure hook, so when the nose bumps it, itll close.

just put on the new props. 1/5 inch bigger. got another 5-6 mph out of it. now I'm up to 26 on my radar gun

Was thinking that, but 2 brushless motors, + 2 lipo's would cost a pretty penny. But actually considering a OS .18 nitro, but dont know if it would work due to the hull being plastic. i would figure the heat would destroy, melt, and fry my electroics.

i have a idea youll be needing to fish that maxx out of the water if you back it into a deeper than you thaught hole of water. cool idea but i would never run a nitro close to deep water like that.

if you look in the pics it looks as if he knows what hes doing theres a ramp there and the whole 9 yards and a piece of info on the boat

doesn't traxxas make the same boat in nitro??

Nah, u can't see it from the pic (night time) but right behind the T-maxx there is about a foot of water that is only like 3 inches deep, then down to like 5inches where the back of the boat is to hit it hard in reverse. .

No ramp, just lucky to find a piece of land on the side of the pond that was perfect. Its got a washout from rain that is like 1.5-2inches deep of mud that i play in with my tmaxx and mini-t. post pics when i get home of mini t muddy. looks kinda cool with the hummer body. And yes, traxxas does make a nitro version, but i like to be unique, and tweak what i got already to the limit. That boat hasnt been run in like 5ish years. the pix i posted of the launch was the first time i had run it, all i put was a new crystal for reciever, and new venom 1800 batteries.

nice looks good man i think ima gonna invest in aboat to tow with my revo now

lol. I've started a trend. damn. now gotta think of somthing else. just kiddin. If u want a layout of how i did mine for ideas for how u wana go, just let me know. glad to share when i can.

you should try something like a magnet on the boat and front of the trailer. that way when the boat bumps it, it will grab and keep the boat on the trailer so you can pull it out with out touching it

but on the flipside of that, if you have the strength of the magnet strong enough to hold the boat on rough accel from the water, itll be just a little bit to hard to reverse off of.

maybe. but if the magnet was flat, it would have no problem pushing on the flat steel. I think sombody could get it to back in just fine. maybe not but thats just my opinion.

idk, ill try it and see. dont wana have to mount a magnet or plate on the front of the boat, trying to keep it looking as stock as possible on the outside, still trying to do some research on if going nitro in it will be too hot for the plastic.
