Well I made the mistake of letting one of my friends use my MERV with strict instructions to be careful and if he broke anything he was paying. It goes without saying that he managed to drive it into the only ditch within about 5 miles and then manage to blame it on me not saying it couldnt fall 10 feet into a stream ! So I now need a new reciever and ESC (I have a spare servo and I am guessing that the motor is water proof?). I would like an ESC that doesn't get as hot as the standard one but the main thing is that it is sold in the UK so it comes ASAP. as for a receiver I'm not to fussed I just want one that will of course fit into the receiver box fine and isn't to pricey but also in the UK would be good.
Thanks guys :D

Oh! And it would be good if the receiver was 2.4 ghz but not essential

What transmitter are you using and how many channels do you need on the receiver, also are you running a brushed or brushless motor?

Sent from my Samsung Admire

Thank you for pointing that out, yes brushless motor and I think I only need to channels steering servo and ESC?

I have used both the Sidewinder and the Mamba Micro Pro. They are too small for the Revo.I would just go with a Traxxas replacement and use a fan to help keep it cool or gear it a bit lower, which is what I did.

I personally haven't used anything from Flysky, but know that a few guys on here have with good results. I personally prefer the Spektrum DX3s and have been using Spektrum radios for a long time and really like them.

When you say to small I'm guessing you mean power rather than size? I can't seem to find anywhere it says the actual amps of those to ESC's.

possibly a little over kill ;)?

The Sidewinder micro is designed to use with the smaller 270 size motors rather than the 380 found on the mERV. It doesn't supply enough current.

O I see!
what cars are a 270 designed for? I thought that you could only really go down to a 1/16 size car?
