New Radio

Hey Guys,

This is the first time I am seeing these radios. Has anybody used them or heard anything about them? Aparantly this company got its start in cellular telephones. Anyway... here is a link.

That looks really slick. Apparently they've been around for a couple of years, but I've never heard anything about them. That's a lot of coin for a radio setup IMHO though.

Yeah, I noticed that Amain started stocking them in 2011. It is a nice chunk of change for a radio, but my Spektrum Dx3-R that I am using now wasn't cheap either... and it does not have telemetry or a nice hardcase.

I've seen several on another site that use them. They look nice is all I really know about them though.

I had my hands on one at RCX this year. I didn't like the look and feel and could care less about telemetry. The only thing I consider a plus is the included hard case.

Better to stick with established companies like Futaba, Airtronics, KO and I suppose Spektrum if your going to shell out that kind of coin.

I'm pretty biased over my Futaba 4PL, but it too doesn't offer telemetry.

I haven't looked at the "-R", I have the DX3-S. Is your's the "Pro"? If so it has telemetry, it just needs a telemetry rx, at least thats what I'm reading on their site.

No, mine is just the normal 3-R not the pro version. I have been happy with it although I am just a sport guy, I am not using my Spektrum every weekend. So for me it works just fine. I know Spektrum doesn't have the best reputation in the world of radios but so far it is meeting my needs. I thought about buying a 4PK but my LHS at the time had these and they seemed ok at the time.
