hi well i have a schumacher rascal the radio has died on me tried new batteries and took it apart checked the reciever is properly connected what i need to know is

  • what do i need to replace?

  • are the servos broken or will it just be the reciever?

  • where can i get the parts from?

i have a 27mhz crystall in remote controll what parts will i need?

thanks

the antena wire was snapped but tried reparing so dont know if this did any damage as of the servos when i switch the power they make a small noise then nothing after that i think it is the reciever but wanted advice before i buy a new one

How exactly did you repair it? I would recommend buying a whole new receiver wire at your LHS and replacing the original wire.

how did i repare it lol bit of insulation tape :P will the crystals and the servos be okay do you think?

What exactly did you do with the insulation tape? It does not tell us what you did with the part of the wire that snapped off.

no part of the wire snapped off it was near snapping so i put some tape over it to stop it from going all the way

I think your receiver and servos are fine. I think your antenna isn't. As suggested you need to contact the manufacturer and obtain a new antenna wire. These systems are tuned to their frequency by the physical length of the antennas. If it is too short and/or has too much resistance because of a repair then it isn't going to have much (if any) range.
