You chaps must be sick of questions about the picco but i have a few anyway. Was waiting for my new Hotboddies .26 to be delivered and they sent me a new Picco .26 by mistake.

So i went out and bought a few more bits for it so i did not have to start stripping my old .21 engine down.

Not all the bits yet, still need fly wheel and 3 shoe clutch but my questions are.

1. What are the best LSN and HSN settings for break in (using tornado 25%) ?.

2.How big is the gap for the idle setting, 1mm or 2mm.

3.The book says 10-20 mins for breaking in the engine but that does not sound right to me, must take half an hour to empty one tank just on idle.

4.Best combination for CB and Sper. Have got a new 49t sper and a new 14t CB, would thet be ok or will it start to strip gears because of the extra power.

Any help will be much appreciated. Dont want to ruin such a good looking engine because of my ignorance. Thanks

that seems ok for me, i have the same engine and i love it to death, do not touch the needles at all they are fine the way they are!! have fun breaking her in and take your time at it, i believe 5 tanks should be ok for break in, two at idle and 3 running really rich, it worked for me. also your spur and your CB gear seems fine to me. nothing will strip if you mesh it ok, so dont forget to do that :fro:

Thanks for that pissant, i know you had a few probs with yours but glad to hear you have it up and running at last.

Holy crap if you got sent a picco by mistake than you are a lucky SOB I know by price there was no mistake when I got rang up for my picco 26. Man are you going to love that engine dude. The Picco 26 has nothing but nuts dude. Newayz a bit of advice about break in. Obviously take more than 20 to 30 minutes to break it in. I would to first three tanks idle than after that to some figure 8's with no more than half throttle. Do that for the next three to four tanks and hell even take up to ten tanks. I idled mine for 5 tanks than did another 5 tanks of the half throttle figure 8's than I got on her. I need to tear mine down this weekend and make all is well inside it. Late
