so i've been bashing my not so new 18t for about a month now. its gotten pretty beat up lately and I'm looking for some new parts for it. i have some simple questions i need advice on

Wide Bumper- my stock bumper is broken, so should i go with the plastic wide bumper or an alloy bumper? does the alloy weigh the car down or keep it about the same? if it does weigh it down a little more, does it make up for the weight with durabilitly?

dogbones- one of the little pins in the dogbones got spun in the axle and has worn completely down to the plastic part. my question here is again between aluminum and plastic dogbones, does the aluminum weigh it down or should i just stick with the cheaper plastic ones.

shocks- i broke the shaft of the left front shock and bent the right front. do i get the adjustable aluminum shocks or should i just buy some more plasticy stock ones?

heat sink- does the heat sink do wnough to make it worth buying?

and is there anything else i maybe should go ahead and upgrade from stock?

get an RPM bumper for sure. Dont' bother hopping up the drivetrain unless you are going to upgrade the powertrain... no need to waste money

kk, so the rpm bumper, plastic dogbones, now just the shocks and the heatsink

that doesn't come with the bottom of the shock that connect it to the car, thats where its broken way down there in the base

i was also just wondering where i can buy some mt tires i can't find them on towerhobbies

theres one more problem i forgot to mention. the rear left wheel nut its stuck and i stripped it trying to get it off what can i do?

please, I'm gonna order parts tonight so plz help me

is there a brush motor thats not too expensive that will go faster than the stock 18t motr? or do you pretty much have to go brushless from tehre

The Reedy MiniMax motors are really fast and a good value at under $50.

ok, so the new parts came today...i first put on my new amazing lil mt tires. then, the two new front shocks. when it came time to put the rpm bumper on, the old one had left the screws vulnerable, two came off fine. when i got to the third, it had gotten scraped up and completely destroyed. i ended up break the other one off and using pliars to get it out. anyway, this little car handles so much better with the mt tires, what should i get now? with these larger tires, i think it needs a new powerplant. should i go bruchless?

i know i said stuff about the bursh mini motors above this but whats your advice?

Keep in mind that brushless is going to cost you as much as the truck itself. There are plenty of modified brushed mini motors available for it by Reedy and Trinity. You can also go 7 cells instead of 6 for a little more kick.

ahh ok i think ill do that, can you keep the same esc if you buy and upgraded brush? or do you have to upgrade that too?

The stock XPS esc should be fine.

18t Motor Upgrade

I was bashing my 18t with the stock ESC and a Reedy SP19 with stock gearing. Smoked the ESC and had to replace. LHS recommended the Novack SPY micro controller. Has more than capability and cost me only $35. Maybe this will help.
