Hey so I'm new to this forum and nitro rc.

I was looking at a used T-Maxx 2.5 I Believe the year is 2007 it seems like its in good condition and the only set back is the buddy hasn't started it in 2 years.

But he is going to start it up and make sure everything is running fine for Friday which is Oct15th , seems knowledgeable etc and the cost is going to be around $175CDN and wondering what I should look for as a first time RC'r any advice is well appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Hey, hope everything went well with your T-Maxx purchase. Traxxas stuff is pretty good as a first time nitro. Also if he ran it with traxxas fuel then hopefully it shouldn't be a problem that it sat for 2 years. Their fuel has a decent amount of oil in it and is supposed to have "afterrun oil" in it so it should be fine. The nice thing about traxxas is that there are tons of parts for the t-maxx available so you should be able to get parts for it as you need them. As for the price, I'm not sure if thats a good deal or not but if it's running fine and it's cheaper than buying any of the MT's new then I'd say have fun and enjoy your new T-maxx.

Good luck with the new maxx. Its a good truck to start with, you'll learn how to tune very well. Post uo some pix when you bring it home.
