Hey fellas,
I stumbled onto this forum. It looks like a good one so I thought I would register and hang around for a while. I got my Savage 25 about two weeks ago and love it.

So far it's been pretty reliable. I did break the one way bearing the second day though. I called HPI and they told me that some of the bearings were made of inferior metal and were prone to fail. Sure enough, I inspected mine and found a hairline crack in the case. I mailed it to HPI and they replaced it free of charge! Other than that, it's been great.

I bought a Tamiya electric car about 15 years ago and recently decided to get back into the RC hobby. After doing a little research, I decided that Nitro would be the way to go this time. The sound...the smell...ah! The lovely odor of nitro in the morning. It's the greatest!

Welcome to RCNT! Glad to have you here on our board, and involved in this great hobby! We are always here to provide advise in just about any problem that you might encounter with your new nitro truck, just ask away and we will do our best to help you get it resolved!

Welcome aboard mate!

Concerning the oneway bearing, and the back plate. HPI sent me both, no questions asked! I was very impressed with their customer support on this issue. My original back plate had a threaded hole that broke out (due to it being drilled to close to the parent materials edge). The original bearing had slipped a few times (working fine now though). They also sent me a whole package of HPI Logo decals...:bling: I guess they were afraid they might lose a customer (no way!).

Keep up the great job HPI!

They sent me a bunch of decals too. Unfortunately, when I cut the package open I cut the first inch off all the decals. How was I to know they were in the package??:dumb:

I just started with it this year and now have three of them and of course want more. Newayz I have a questioni for any savage 21 users. Was anyone able to get the one way bearing from the 21BB warrantied by them at all?? Mine is totally shot. Later
