My rear shock has been leaking since I bought it. Even tried rebuild it with green slime. Still leaks.. Figured I’d give these HR ones a shot. They come with extra springs and a bleeder screw in the caps. If I like em’ I’ll buy a set for the front.

A little super glue should plug that leak up for you. :p

I tell you what, these shocks are MINT!!! They come dry, no fluid in them. After taking them apart and adding some green slime and 30wt oil, these babies are smooth!! Went with the medium springs that come pre installed. Almost went soft but felt a bit too soft. I’ll give another update after a good thrashing. And I’ll definitely be ordering another set for the front. As a matter of fact I’ll probably order them right now. 😉

The long anticipated metal, oil filled, diffs have finally arrived.
Some observations, the out drives are metal, the internal gears are metal, the bearings will fit over the out drives. So you don’t have to take them off to service the bearings. There’s no gasket on the cup though.. 🤔
The outdrives are different than I expected. Hopefully they hold up to the Gromzilla and it’s castle madness. 😈

Here’s some pics.

Look what followed me home. I need help.

Stopped at a pawnshop (imagine that) and what did they have? A Grom. Couldn't believe it. Then laughed at the price. 129.99. You can see it's dirty. Someone's ran it. Told a worker there that I can drive 4 blocks up the road to the LHS and pay that with a warranty. He left and came back. Said he could do 99.00. 30 bucks is 30 bucks. I can use that for the madness that will ensue. Lol.

It's not the green one. Oh well. But, the battery had juice so I tested it. The spur sounds a little growly. But the diffs felt smooth. Steering servo works and sounds good. Off to a great start. Sure I'll have questions.

i would have bought one new....
but hey, if you can get it running smooth for nothing...
then u saved 30$.
Just ran it up and down the street. Works fine. Maybe that's how the spur sounds. Maybe there's some dirt in it. Doesn't matter. Not staying stock anyway. Nothing is broken or missing. And the 30 bucks will be used for mods. Win/win.

Edit: Plus it's so new that I'm surprised to even find one in a pawnshop. I'll take the savings anywhere I can find it. It all adds up when you have bunch of RC's.
