Taking .030 out of the mount didn't even come close to pulling the motor back far enough. Bringing the mount back to the machine shop and we are going to take another .125 out. That should get me to where I need to be and now I've found use for those extra red spacers I have.

Oh and on a similar note...Folks have mentioned to make sure my chassis isn't bent. I have been looking into that and every thing seems fine. The motor is engaging the spur squarely. The chassis is new out of the box so I can't see where any damage would apply.

What mount and engine? New era has a few. I have their BB mount.

What flywheel are you running? I know new era has a thin one that is used for some of their engine conversions to give you more room.

Ahhh, a little more information would have been good. Here goes...

Well, I'd maybe send them an email.

How much room do you need?

When I had a revo, I actually slid the trans forward about 1/4" so I could run an 1/8 scale clutch/flywheel/CB. Moving it forward made it work with a stock sized engine and stock mount or the NE Leanear BB mount.

Almost seems like they sent you the wrong cradle or something.

My NE BB mount fit just like it was supposed to with the stock flywheel and stuff. I just never ran it that way.

On that note, you using a stock bell? 1/8 bells are taller than stock. Or did your bell and flywheel work fine on the 3.3/2.5 stock engine with stock mount?

I needed 3/16 of an inch. I had it machined down at work an it put me in the correct position.

A friend gave me an ofna mount to try and that put the motor in the correct position right off. There was something definitely wrong with the New Era mount. The screws on the Ofna mount were stripped so I tapped them to 6-32 fine thread and opened up the holes on the motor mount. I don't like the adjustability on the Ofna mount but since it fits better I am going to go with it.

That was my impression I thought the picco came with a cradle (I believe they have one for a t-maxx and one for a revo) and you used the existing revo mount system.
