Hey guys I was just wandering if anyone has ordered from new era models lately. They let me place an order but it still hasn't been filled and they have not taken the money from my paypal account? I am assuming they are still in business.

I was wondering the same thing. Their new website has been under construction for a couple years now and still not finished. Seems like that company is in limbo.
I really don't know whats going on.

Yah this sucks because it let me place the order already. At least it hasn't been taken from my account! I tried to call there phone# but it just said they weren't receiving calls at this time?

I have this same frustration. Back when I just started working full time, I so wanted a New Era 1/6-1/5 conversion for my first and only r/c at the time (savage x). It happened to be just out of my price range, and now that I work oilfield, and for myself on the side (grader + backhoe) I can't seem to get a hold of one.

Which parts are you looking for Hulk? I saw quite a few New Era parts listed on ebay including F&R aluminum shock towers for MGT. They also have some Tmaxx stuff.

I would like to have the shock towers, I have searched ebay but have not located them. I placed an order for there machined engine mount, and the aluminum skid covers.

Never mind Nitrotrout thanks bro I just found and purchased them hecks yah got my towers bro! Hope there good quality. Gotta be better than the GPM ones!:D

Sweet bruddah , glad it worked out. Those towers look pretty stout, like the ACNCM stuff.
can't wait to see this beast when it's done.

My bank account and my wife can't wait until it's finished to LOL!:hehe: But she doesn't know when the MGT is finished then it's onto the supermaxx build. But it will be a long term slowww project.

I have my wife convinced all the used up beater trucks that show up on our door step are fixer uppers to re sell. Thats the case usually, but sometimes I just can't let them go. So my collection is growing and growing, my account is shrinking and shrinking..whats a feller to do?
After 2 years of collecting parts on fleabay, my Supermaxx is finally ready to assemble.
I hate to think how much I have invested in that thing. Its gonna be a kick in the shorts when it's finally together.

Sounds like you have the same problem I do!
I'm hoping to have both mine done this year!:D

Its true these projects are never done. Gotta love it.

Nitro, are you working on a couple Supermaxx projects?

Most trouble I had was locating the UE steering assembly, UE shocks ( I only need 4),
and a Strobe slipper. Now I'm trying to score a DieMaker Dave wing mount. That's the last piece of my puzzle, Talk about an elusive SOB.

I'm building 2 BB Thunders, I have to finish making one set of throttle servo mounts, I have to get another set of bulks and I just missed a sweet set of like new UE widemaxx arms.

I made center skids, ofna tank mounts, and frt/rear skids.

I missed out on the run of UE gen5 servo savers so I plan to stick to the stock 4907 with a 7075 drag link.

To save a little coin I was lookin at the Hyper mac star .28 to start with.

Update!

Okay guys just to put this info out there. New era is evidently out of business. I have tried every email option every phone# all have been disconnected I have got no reply and neither has Paypal. It looks like I will wait a couple more day and receive my money back I hope. Anyone looking on New era's web site be warned it will still let you purchase from them through your paypal account! Someone should have the website shut down so this doesn't happen to others.:(

This should be a thread on its own! Tracking down and making a list of R/C companies that are no longer in business, or that have faulty websites....like the beeman one, vantage no longer exists also. Neither does flextek.

I totally agree with you!

I've just orderd and received a new engine mount from ebay. I got a message saying the ebay account predates new era I did have my suspicions about the moubt being fake but the paypal invoice clearly says new era models and the mount looks great. (Not like the normal revo mount tho yhis one has grooves cut into it looks very nice.

The ebay account is called "badazrc"

I'm intrested to hear from anyone who can prove for sure if this is legit and why their not trading like we thpught mayb the buisness world wasn't economical so they receeded back to being a basment seller I hope not tho. I watched around 15 of these mounts sell over 2 wks with 5 stars feedback from everyone inc myself. The other thing was I thought these mounts were expensive especially to uk buyers but I only paid $50 us plus fees. Search ebay for new era v3 mount.

It all seems legit I do trust tje product and the seller too I just can't get my head around the price and shadow dealing from a big company or what I thought was a big company like other specialists. Thats a shame about vantage racing too and flex tec but flex tec revo arms cost $250 a set no wonder they couldnt sustain a custom base afterall with cash like that we'd be racing real machines that carry us with them lol. I would.

I have the new era designs t-MAXX big block kit if anyone is interested. I have no use for it anymore. Went back to stock chassis.
