If any of you have one, would you be kind enough to measure the distance from the top of the receiver box to the bottom of the bar on the part of the roll bar that connects to the front shock bolts?

I'd like to know without wasting the $. I have made battery packs and I cut a hole in the top of the receiver case so it will fit. Unfortunatly, I can't tell by looking at new era's pics how much distance there is between the case and the roll bar.

Here's a pic of what I'm trying to deal with:

If your wondering what roll bar I'm talking about, it's this:New Era Roll Bar

I like this roll bar since it goes further back than the stock one which should help protect the engine head better. Also, I had one on my maxx and loved it. It provides good protection as well as strengthens the chassis. Although, the way it mounts on the savage, I don't think it will help strengthen much, but it should prove to give more protection for the engine.

Thanks.

I have one on my savage. They are super strong. 1000x stronger than the POS "roll bar" it comes with. Just from looking at your sav it looks like what ever is on top of your bettery box is too tall. Ill take a measurement when i get home from work. Btw have you bent any of the new era upper arms you have? I have a similar setup and have gone through 2 of them already.

Nope, I haven't bent any of them. I've busted a hub carrier though.

What in the hell did you hit?

The thing on the top of the battery box is actually the battery pack sticking through the top of the battery box. It sticks up about 1/2 to 3/4 inch.

The batteries are stacked like this inside the pack. Then I cut a hole in the top of the receiver box so it would sit mostly down in there.

I'd appreciate the measurements. Thanks.
