Last night I added a new super stock RZ engine I simply unsoldered the old and resoldered the new. Now it's all messed up. I give it throttle and it delays then keeps going after i let go it sometimes randomly goes reverse and sputters everywhere it very hard to control. It will now stop responding to throttle and i noticed the ESC is very hot. Any Idea what just happened? Maybe this engine is not compatible with my ESC? It says it's for 7.2 volts which I am using. I have no clue.....

It is possible to have engine that is not compatible with an ESC. Some ESCs have a minumum and a maximum number of winds they can handle.

Guys, guys guys....you are confusing my little brain........LOL

I seen "engine" problems in the electric forum and didn't know what to expect.

So the MOTOR you took off was the same as the new one you put on?

What ESC are you running?

Oh I didnt realize i said engine instead of motor! the one i took off was old and crappy...it's on a traxxas xl-1 esc any ways I figured it out! hahaha I'm a big idiot...turns out my damn battery was dead. I bought a new charger and a motor...well the charger said it was charged when i first plugged it on but I had the wrong setting so when i put it in it had power but i wasn't used to the added power needless to say my old crappy motor had the same power as this one did with a dead battery! I've never seen a car act like this when the battery is going dead though...strange...
