new engine ofna lx one

hey guys I'm gonna be picking up a this buggy friday and was told the motor is probably bad he said i may be able to squeeze a lil life out of it but doesn't know. So what would be some good engines to put on this buggy. It comes with a .28. Was thinking lrp .28, picco .28, axial .28, dynamite big red mach 2.

Opinions please

I wouldn't waste money on the Axial. They've had QC issues.

Picco .28 for my money

A nice budget priced engine would be the XTM 457. It will sling a LX One around like a rag doll and give you good service.

i like the picco but I'm just a basher so i try to stay with the cheaper engines so the xtm would be right up my ally i wasn't wanting to spend any more than 200 but could if i needed to

The ofna .28 is a decent engine and can ne had for less than $120,new!

I got bout 2gallons on my lx2 wit the xtm .28 457 and that thing is a handful. Went up 2 teeth on the cb and added a jp3 to it and it still literally blows the tires off, and holds the tune fairly well. On the track it just hasnt been as friendly, but I figure my finger is the biggest problem and inexperience. All together I enjoy that engine, been thinking bout putting one on my pulse but I wanna try a picco .28

if I can get some life out the currwnt engine I will but I thi k ima throw the 457 at it can't beat the price and if it was recommended on here I no its a good engine

id love to putthe picco they make awesome power and last good but I just dont wanna put that money out there

You'll love it, new to this whole rc thing but I know I love mine and also no problem wit tuning me not having much experience I think says alot. Not sure bout the price difference between the two though. Now I hope mine dont f up since I made comments about it. Lol
