Well because of my unfortunate break-in of my 8 port. The engine is becoming more an more unreliable with each new tank. Seeing that a rebuild costs about $100, i've decided to just buy a new engine.

And since I wanna get an aluminum clutch, new slipper clutch/spur gear, new HB brake pads, and an aluminum brake driver, I might as well go all out with a new engine.

Anyhoo, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good engine? I'm thinking about the XTM 24.7 Pro. I've heard good things about it. And it's within my max price range of $190.

I run an OS 21 RG-X(P) on my 21 maxx. I really like it. It's been really reliable. Fires up on the second or third pull after getting it primed. I'm just starting gallon #3 and i still pull wheelies when i want. It's relatively cheap. I think tower has it for around $140-$160. But unlike yours, rebuilds are probably doable. With a new piston/sleeve and connecting rod running you $80.

yea i would get a 24.7 pro. there is sooooo much power in that thing

Have you read the review in RCNitro on the Wasp .26.The most powerful engine ever tested and it's a pull-start.Check it out.

Just so everyone knows, i'll be buying the Truckzilla conversion kit. It'll be cheaper that way, since it comes with the engine and a tuned pipe<<<and that's one of the things on my list to buy.

I just need to get a new slipper clutch, and get some brake pads and i'll be set.
