I know guys with Berg offset wheels that get plenty of steering and there wheels are 1" wide, Also if you go to the bigger tire we were telling you about in this thread they will probably be a little wider then the claws you are using now, but 1"-.75" wheels will work, there are different companies that have wheels with hubs you can get in different offsets so you can play around and get it how you want it, some guys run a narrower offset in the rear then in the front. makes it easier the A$$ end through the gate..

Makes sense. For now I'm just going to concentrate on getting it done, which means trying to motivate the guy that wants the tmaxx. Once its done and I can run it some I'll worry about swapping wheels and such. I doubt there are any comps close enough to me anyway. I just want to run it...lol

As long as you are having fun with it, that is all that really matters, just get it on some rocks and crawl.

]Inspired by Loyds HC chassis, no actual skill was used in the development of my attempt at a chassis. I applied no knowledge, just wanted to try something with a couple peices of aluminum scrap I have. I'll post more pics of it later, might even get it "done" this evening.

Its sitting on top of a TCS chassis plate, still got to trim off the excess, drill more "option" holes, and so on and so forth....:)

Just keep in mind bro that it takes LOTS of time and work to make a chassis work well. Too much effects the geometry of it.

I know, thats why i said i didnt use any skill or knowlege..lol I'm still waiting on the guy to get off his butt and order parts, so I thought I would be creative. I'm sure I'll try it eventually to see how it works, but I'm also pretty darned sure its not going to do all that great....lol Just making something to be making something. Now on the other hand if by dumb luck it turns out good then I'll be quite astonished....

Got any pics or pricing info on that bodiless HC chassis?

No not until JoeP at EEM is ready to release it publicly.

got ya, i saw it listed on the site and was curious. I've been thinking lately about running it without a body, and with the SNG HC it peaked my interest.

results from my "experiment"

going to trim the upper rear a little bit, take the last mounting hole out when I do. It hits the lower link at full compression\twist.

thanks...lol if I ever get the rest of my parts I'll let you know how bad it does..:\, then I'll swap back to the KK chassis, or maybe a SNG HC bodiless.... but at the rate its going on getting the guy to order those parts, there will be some major awesome new something, maybe I'll get it....:D

Yeah those will work, Eritex "comp heavies" are popular for berg owners.

so the other day I noticed one of my shocks was broken, from sitting around..... I went to the lhs today to look around, they dont really carry any crawler stuff. They had an ax10 that someone was trying to sell. I asked about some losi crawler shocks and he showed me the ones for the mini. Then he says wait a sec, and comes out with a set of the full size, someone ordered them and decided not to use them, $30 cash. One of the plastic inserts for mounting is messed up, thats all thats wrong. SCORE.

Good deal for sure!

Only bad thing about that is that it makes them really long...

yeah, i noticed, but i think i can manage it.

Well, the updates are in, and they are as follows:

Learned how to solder today, got the deans plugs on the batteries, the mamba max (motor leads), and soldered the wires to the motors...

The guy that I'm trading my t-maxx project to is supposed to have ordered the rest of the parts I need to finish this thing as well.

About that novak cap, I cut it off, and i dont believe its wired in place of the on off, the wires to the cap branch off the main power wires for the battery. If I solder those together its going to cause a short, What do I look for to see if the power switch was removed properly after I take these "jumper" wires off? Anyone got a pic of what to look for or at lease a good description?

ALL the help has been and always will be appreciated, I can't WAIT to get this thing done and break it.....in..... or just break it.......

Could you take a picture of the mamba and the wires that are connected to the novak thing? Its a Novak glitch buster, which is just a capacitor I believe. You are going to run a cc BEC right?

The cap says something about brushless motors, and racing capacitor.

you can see the wires that branch off the power wires to the mamba.
