www.hobbyking.com has some good deals on chargers that people on here have had good luck with, not sure of the exact model. I am guessing you are going lipo so just make sure it is a balance charger to keep them in good shape.

Yeah, I have the 3s hong kong lipos.

You could use rc4wd's dig switch too, its cheaper than the punk. It doesn't seem to have the hold of the punk but its not too bad, a guy in our club is running it on his bully.

what charger would you guys recommend in the $55-65 shipped range? its a 3s lipo hong kong battery.

I like the punk rc unit from what I've read, seen online. the cost difference is pretty big but id like this to be something that will last a while and id probably want to upgrade to the punk later, so i might as well spend 60+ once than 90+ later... I appreciate the info though!

Yeah thats why I run a Punk too lol.

whats your thought on a charger? Id love a venom pro, but its kinda way out of the $60 range...lol

definatly save for a good charger though like the Venom Pro or similar. That one I linked to takes a long time to charge since its now an adjustable one, you can't set the charge rate any higher, or monitor it.

Yep thats the Pro, comes with the power supply and a handful of other things.

i just sent the guy a list with the venom pro, castle BEC, and the punk dig..... hope this deal goes thru, if so all i'll need to do is wire it, steering links, and a body....

thinking about making my own skid so i can use the spacers that came with the ckrc kit, drawbacks to making the chassis a bit wider?

I think I would be more concerned with having the rear axle clocked up a little then the front, if it is not already clocked, but I am sure it would not hurt if it was clocked a little more, jeepndoug on RCCrrawler sales a clocking tool that makes it easrier to clock the axles, also what is that big capacitor looking thing for? I have a Mamba Max ESC and mine does not have one of those, maybe it is something new, just wondering, LOL!!!! Any way it is looking good bud, keep it up and you will be on the rocks with it real soon.

Its a novak racing cap? Not sure what the function would be, I'm pretty sure its wired in place of the off on switch?

I would only clock the front if you can take the time and get a clocking tool to do it with. Other wise just leave it pretty flat.

what would the intent and purpose be of the novak cap wired in on the mamba?

I have no idea why any one would put a Novak cap on a Mamba Max ESC and if it were me I would remove it and if it is for the on-off switch I would either solder the two wires together "that is how I have mine" or put a new switch on it.
