just got new brakes for my .21 dose anybody know if their is an easy way to change them they only way i can figure is mill and trans need to be removed i dont think thats right!! any links or help:D

Correct. The only way to do it is to remove both the motor plate and the tranny. You just need to remove the screws that hold them yo the TVP's. You should just be able to slide them both out.You may need to remove the left TVP since the piston shaft is sticking out.

The trans will come out with only the left plate off and the receiver box screws loose but there's alot of wiggling and cursing involved. Also leaving the motor plate with engine on hanging by two screws from the right plate never felt right to me so I put the left plate back on using the bulkhead and motor plate screws temporarily while I worked on the trans.

Either way the gear mesh should be reset so pick your poison.

wow that is alot just to change the brakes! i did it though it sucked bad! but learned alot! dont want to do it again! should i ask how long stock ones last???? may be not!!!lol

Depends which you got, how you've prepared them, if they're protected, driving style and linkage setting. Basically alot of variables as with much else in the hobby :)
