Hey Guys,

I am looking all over for a company that sells a replacement body for an XTM X-Terminator Pro. I have looked all over. Other than going and getting one from XTM direct I have found no other. I really like the Proline Crowd Pleaser line but can't find one to fit the Xterm. Does anybody know of an after market company that carries Xterm bodies? Thanks

Tom

Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck finding an aftermarket lid thats made for the XTM... While reading through some XTM forums, I hear that the Kyosho & Ofna lids will fit with a little trimming... I'll keep lookin..
Can anyone help from experience?

Thanks for looking my friend, and I appreciate the effort you are putting forth. I am still new to this sport and I still don't know all the cool RC sites or the tricks of the trade. Good luck my friend. I will keep looking for info as well. If I find something I will make sure I post it. I think since I have been posting to this site I think only one other person drives an Xterm. Maybe it's just a crappy car. Either way... I am stuck with her now... I will try and make the most of it! Thanks again.

Tom

Cmon guys, help this brother out... I know we have some great researchers here at RCNT... :)

Imbroken,

I guess they just don't make any aftermarket bodies for an XTerminator. Thanks for trying though I appreciate it.

Tom

OK I asked two different Hobbyshops. Hobbypeople and another. Hobbypeople are the ones that market that product mainly if not exclusively and they say the stock only will be the direct fit. They did say that the Kyosho bodies will fit the closest to the stock. Sorry it was a bit late.

goale03,
Doesn't look like they make one that is a perfect fit. Have you been here:http://globalservices.globalhobby.com/globalforum/index.php?sid=e16fe705a9440cae3fbeec01ec2fef18 I did a search and just looked for a minute or 2. But didn't see much.
I have an x-term. I love mine. I don't race. But I have bashed it fairly hard. There are some guys on that site that are racing theirs.
The stock engine runs great. Keeps a tune and has plenty of power. Got mine last year about this time. Parts replaced: clutch, radio, and tires (I think is all) Broke an a arm 2 weeks ago. Was pretty cold outside when I did that.
We were jumping a guardrail last year and my kid hit it head on, full throttle. Knocked off the air cleaner. I had my back turned at the time, but it wouldn't have made anymore noise if ya hit the guardrail with a sledgehamer. :ahh:

I really love mine and hope ya have as much fun with yours as I have.

No I wasn't upset or anything. I was just thanking all that gave it a shot. I have personally searched until my eyes hurt, and even sent an email to Pro Line. (Which I have yet to get an answer) I was just going to give up and buy a stock body. I just wanted to thank everybody. Hopefully I didn't give off the impression I was mad. Thanks

Dude! I LOVE my x-term and no way in hell it is crappy. I got mine last July and I havent even broken 1 part yet! So be glad that you have a x-terminator... they are great buggys at a good price. do you have the pro? or the deluxe?

if all fails... I know once in a while they carry stock bodies for the x-term on ebay...

Groovy man,

Thanks for the info I just got it this winter so I haven't had a chance to get her out yet. Yes I do have the pro. I am running hitec 645 steering servo, JP1 pipe, OS RG X -P mill, and recharable NiMh, also Ofna failsafe, and I just got finished removing the grease and filling the diffs with silicone. By the way, do you know how I can get that Air filter on the OS to fit inside the body? I can't get that thing to set right? Thanks

Oh, one other thing, I have emailed XTM and asked them if they know where to get aftermarket bodies.... I am sure they want me to buy stock, but maybe they have an answer. I will let you know.

No I was just trying to get a better answer for you. Its not a popular enough ride like the more common ones

Just wondering why ya went with the OS engine? More power than the XTM? Or had ya not heard much about XTM and scared of them not being any good? Lot of people are replacing the motors in their MT's and going with the 24/7.

You should get an e-mail back from them pretty quick. They have the best customer support of any place I have dealt with.

By the way my X-term was the regular RTR. Still has the small head on it. Bought on sale $320. For the money been the best car I have.

Actually, I picked the OS over the 24.7... well for two reasons, in order to be legal I had to have a .21 engine on it to race, and second I used to fly OS engines and loved em. They were reliable as hell and lasted a long time. The RG-X has been around a while and OS has a great reputation. The XTM motor is the bomb, but in order to be ROAR legal I have to tone the mill down to a .21. So it wasn't that I didn't like the XTM mill just two much power to race. Also I bought the Pro version and the 24.7 was a bit too much money at the time.

Hey Jon,

You know I am getting that idea of the Xterm not being a popular ride. I am not quite sure why? I get nothing but rave reviews from the guys on this site that own them, and Radio Controled Nitro raved about it as well. Sure the other buggies in the 1/8 arena have been around alot longer, but XTM makes a great buggy for the cost. There is a guy who races one at my local track and he dusts everybody almost every weekend. Also XTM has the greatest customer service around. We shall see if it catches on. Take it easy my friend.

Tom

I beleive that Hobbypeole are the onlt ones that do supply XTM products..I think.
