Hello all!

I was sitting on my computer doing abit of programming, i bagan to look at my old electric kit car (it was about £70 ($120)) that i havent used in years (due to the fact that it kinda crashed into a wall and the frame being plasic the weels kinda have noting to go onto anymore :S!)

Anyways... i have had this car for around 6 years or so... (i was about 11 when i built it)

after gazing at it for about 5 mins i rememberd how much fun i had building it! I also remember that i always wanted a fuel powerd one...

Now being of working age i have money :arrr:

Anyways, i really want to get into the hobby but with 2 draw backs.

1) I can't find very many good sites to buy R/C's on the net that can ship to the UK.

2) I want this as more of a building / tuneing hobby than a racing hobby.

So what i really wanna say is:

1) is it possible to build a car bit by bit? (like totaly in seprate parts?)

2) is there any guides on how to do this

3) does anyone know where i can buy R/C equipment in the uk? (e.g web sites)

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!

If you were going to build a car/truck piece by peice, I would pick the one with the most amount of choices/part.

The T-maxx and the Savage right now seem to have more parts, and hop-ups than any other nitro around. I would suggest building one of these.

You can also go to traxxas's site and find the manual's for the T-maxx online. (diagram's of everything)

I would definetaly start looking on Ebay. More and more I see a lot of seller's that arre from the same place as you. (the u.k)

Aside from their being more parts. I would aslo suggest a monster truck, or a buggy . Due to the ability to take them on just about any terrain.

Good Luck!

That was my whole reason for getting a T-Maxx.

If you wanna build it yourself you'll have to get the Savage SS Kit. The T-Maxx is only sold RTR.

The online documentation on the T-Maxx is pretty nice. And Traxxas part numbers are searchable on Tower Hobbies too.

(In the rare event you replace stock with stock!)

Thanks for the reply. I'm on the site now but i can't find any manual's :(.... can u possibly post a link?

There is some places that sell part on ebay like lykan suggested that ship to other places like the UK, it just might cost a little more.

Go to this link here

Traxxas manual link

Click on the part that says "exploded views" You most likely want the Nitor T-maxx.

Almost every manufacturer of r/c's has a support center with diagrams on the internet for you to look at. Pick a good car with a good web site. If you are going to build from parts.

If you just want to bu8ild, and that is the fun, then get the savage SS. It is a kit of the regular savage. It would be fun.

Also I sell on Ebay. I usually post that I will only ship in the U.S. If someone Emails me and asks me to ship out of the country, I will do it.

I think if you call, or Email most people they will ship out of the country. You just have to ask.
