I just brought my first R/C truck from my local hobby store.
Got it home, and went through the break in per the instruction
manual It is a Kyosho Mega Force. The truck ran great and still dose, But now it will run about a half of tank of fuel and start shuting off . I restart the motor it will run for a little bit then shut off again. Help

Welcome to RCNT.
I'm going to take a wild guess here and ask you to take a temperature reading of of your engine while its still running. You will most likely find that its running way to hot and needs to be richened up a bit.

If you don't have a temperature gage it will be a good investment. Until that time you can do a spit test. Spit or put a drop of water on the head of the engine. If it boils off rapidly, your to hot. If your running at a temperature that is good it will sit there for several seconds then slowly evaporate over 5-6 seconds.

To richen the engine, turn the high speed needle counter clockwise. 1/8th of a turn at a time then run your RC for 1-2 minutes and check again. Continue to do this until the tems are under control. You want to see smoke coming out of your pipe at all times.

There are several great articles on this forum about tuning your engine. It is one of the most important things you can learn to ensure a fun time with your RC. Normal temps are around 25o 280 degrees.

I would also check for air leaks that could be your problem.

I would, also, recommend checking for a cracked fuel tank or an airleak in your fuel system. What you describe can be caused by the overheating that Eddy alludes to or by a leak not allowing fuel to get to the engine due to a pressure loss.

you will probably need to get ne gaskets. look for high tem non silicone gasket maker. it will come in a tube if you have a napa nere you go there
