Just recently bought an arrma senton mega. Love the truck. Use to the t series from associated 2 through 4. Today I had sand get in the spur gear and basically strip it. Is there an upgrade to keep this from happening again? Help!!!

Welcome in @hambone , you can find these anywhere on the web.

That has a similar powertrain module as the Granite, Typhon, and other cars in the 3S line. There are videos on YT on how to fix this issue. I think most involve cutting a window under the spur so sand can escape, but that to me has always seemed like a terrible idea for a dirt vehicle. Use the chassis protector like TP showed.

Welcome to The RCT. A lot of people with the 3s line will dremel a slot in chassis under the spur to let debris out. I have not done that to my to 3s cars, I haven’t had any issues…yet 😂
I do get small rocks wedged in steering on my 3s

Welcome to the site.

If it was me, I would do debris gaurds and or wheel wells. Imo, limit items being tossed by wheels. In my experience, I run all my cars without gear covers. Once in my stampede I got a pebble. Twice my Rs4 3 I caught pebbles, but thats an onroad. While I have not completed these, I have noticed my cars with wheels outside the body have less mess inside.
The only thing is you have to watch airflow so you dont suffacate the motor/esc.

Post 10 and 14 may be of use. Sorry for linking a rival brand, this is really the only photos I can find.

Check your pinion gear too. Dirt dulls metal and slowly sands metal.
