Yo!

So my comp truck (Vanquish Stance) has 1.9 SSD beadlocks and JConcepts Rupture tires.

I have had a bead shift or pop at the last comp and then a few weeks ago at open practice a rear was bound up, the tire began to fold a bit but then the wheel turned in the tire.

I have everything apart on the bench right now because I had to narrow up my front axle a touch.

I am wondering if anyone has some ideas as to what to try? Should I just put a bit of CA on the backside and call it a day?

Should I cut up a set of old 1.9's and add another layer to the pinch ring?

I am kind of at a loss.

Any help is appreciated.

Would roughing up the contact surface of the wheel help? Id hate to glue beadlocks. Can't say I've ever had that problem.
I didn't think or that but I had a similar idea.

I had picked up some 80 grit sanding pads with the idea of cutting them up to add like a grit gasket but when I took the wheels apart the contact area is pretty small, around 3-4mm.

I could make a trace using the rings and wheels and everything, but I just don't know if that would do it.

Simple green softens rubber and makes the tread sticky as most know already. I would pull the tires use simple green in a zip lock bag and soak em. A good 4 hours, or even overnight. A clean, soft, sticky bead might solve that.
A lot of guys simple green their tires.
I took them off and washed them with dawn but I haven't done the simple green soak.

Worth a shot?

The cleaning and wiping doesn't do a lot. Soaking with the bag for longer let's it really work on the rubber. Once out and dried you should be be to squeeze and fold the tread together where it almost sticks to itself. There is a video I will try and track down.

Dude! That video is epic!

I'm going to stop and pick some up on my way home. Thanks Ritz

These things were like glue tonight!!! 😍

Can't wait to swap over these Injoras I tried in my Apex back over the the Redcat tires. I soaked them for 4 hours today and they came out similar feeling to the JConcepts after their soak.

Thanks again Ritz
