Howdy all. After breaking in & fine tuning the .26 & going through my new Dud Demon this truck seems to be fairly quick & sturdy (I'm a mudder) If anyone has one of these trucks by H.B. & needs some help, feel free to ask me.
Not being satisfied with 2-1/8 MT I'm already looking into my next project. I'm thinking of the Dominator "extreme" 80% kit that has all cnc a-arms, cvc's, cnc bulkheads & other things that look great but I'm going to have to look deeper into this kit at everything as so far I haven't found it except on Tower Hobbies & there 80% comes with the .21 mill, wheels exc. & there kit isn't the extreme #14347 kit. I'll keep investigating on this guy. At the lhs yesterday while getting some things I saw they had (1) Trinity monster hp s.27-race 9-port, 3.1-hp engine on sale for $340. I'd have it in my grubby little hands now cept my new bank account hasen't passed its waiting period yet so my atm was turned down (boooooo). Again not being on top of this engine I have read some good reviews in the forums so maybe its a good thing I do some more digging. Wheels & tires, pipe, servos, radio, body are things in the future, but if you like I'll keep ya posted on this new project as it comes about.
If anyone has any exp. with what I'm planning on so far, help or advice is always welcome here, later:jet:

You will probably do better with the Picco .26 from Ofna or Orion than getting the Sirio .27. I have both mills and the .26 has a little more low end grunt than the .27 which you are going to need for that beast. The .27 shines in the higher rpm range.

thanks strechM, & r/c car guy I'll try that site r/c. Yea I kinda figured the s27-r could be a tad weak on the bottom with a top end of 38,000 rpm ya have to sacrifice one for the other. I'm kinda glad I didn't get the s27, tubo plugs are $10.00 a pop & with fuel & tax I was looking at $400.00 Even with the discount of $40.00 off the mill. I think I can get the dominator extreme 80% kit for that much. I'll keep the wasp .26 or a 24.7 pro in mind & send it to EB porting for a massage. take care Robie6

yea strech, since I got the hot idea I was told the Dominator is no longer avalible unless you buy the whole rtr, or the 80% kit with the .21 mill & wheels. Awwww-well, I'd of had a grand in it before wheels, tires, servos, & reciever (got a 10 model program in my Linx-3d. So I'll just have to do with what I got & be thankful.
On another note, I was reading about porting a 2-cycle, like port timing & such so tonight I made a degree wheel for my 2-strokes. Pretty interesting in how they time the engine. Think I'll dig out some of my old degree lessons I learned doing small block chevy's so I can do more than just flow & polish a crank. I have a fairly new .21 sitting around with that polished crank & with the degree wheel & a dial indicator on the piston all kinds of things opened up
