Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up a few new "High Quality" Hump packs for the MBX5.. The highest maH rating I've seen so far is 1400.
Any recommendations?
 
I've got a Team Helotes 2600 pack in my Prospec. It's a tight fit, but they last a long time. I ran two qualifiers and a 20 minute main during our point series. Then, ran another six tanks through my new P5X while breaking it in before I had to charge the pack again, and there was a two week break in between that as well. Normally, I would've charged it before then, but I was too anxious to break in that motor.

TJ have you recived your batts yet?
I ordered mine from them last week and still have not recived them...

Up date.......
I called there #And some drunk chick awnswered the phone...
Lots of yelling in the back ground...

I talked to some guy that said there batts got hung up in customs...
and that they will ship monday...I am pissed!

I called them on Monday to see why I didn't get a confirmation that they were shipped. The guy who answered was pretty cool, and said he was very sorry for the delay, as the cells got locked up in customs. He took the time to explain what was holding the shipment up.
Today, I got a phone call from him, saying that the cells are do in Thurs/Fri, and will ship out Monday/Tuesday, along with another apology... I'll let ya know how it goes if I hear anything else. Seems like a good bunch of guys though..
 
Ya the guy I talked too was cool...I was hoping to have them this weekend so I could break in my
prospec...

Oh well what you going to do!

Between this and ACE hobbies..I am really getting irritated..
Ordered my JP2 from them 2 and a half weeks ago
and its still not here.
They called me two week ago and said it would ship that friday...Piss on them too!
 
They have been using the same story for over 4 years now. Don't believe a word they say.

I had the Absolute worse experience with BB that I have ever had with any company I have ever dealt with. I refuse to do business with them and will pass the word on any chance I get.

The drunk chick is probably the owners wife. I made 2 enquirers about my order after not hearing from them in over 2 weeks and she went off in an e-mail on me calling me names and accusing me of harassment. She then followed it up posting on the Traxxas forum that I was refunded and sent all sorts of free stuff to shut me up and that I still kept harassing them. All this is far from the truth. All I did was sent 2 e-mail asking when my parts would be released from customs. I finally got them 5 weeks later.

She then sent me a letter telling me that she had me confused with someone else. She also stated that there were so many people up in arms she couldn't remember who was who.

The posts may still be on the Traxxas forum. I dont go there any more and it was 4 or so years ago. It may make for some great reading if they are still on the forum.

This were I buy most of my parts from... ACE Hardware also has some great deals on stuff..

**Update..
I received my hump packs in the mail today, as promised by Ballistic.
They definately make a nice looking pack.
 
Damn, I hate to hear all of this about Ballistic. Up until now I've heard nothing but great things about Patrick and his company.

I buy my RX packs from Team Heleotes, I used the 2600 in my CRT and was very happy.

However I have since switched to the new IB1400's. They should be far supirior to the older generic 1400 packs.

carolinasrc is a great company to deal with. Since he is expanding his line I think you'll find that you'll have to deal with Ace less and less. Also AMainHobbies.com is another great source for RC stuff. As is RCBuyersclub.com

Another option for RX packs would be Kinetixrc.com he builds a nice pack as well.

I got mine today also...I must say It looks good..
But I am still pissed about the wait!
