i could be wrong but looks like a marine engine
they appear to be nipples on the backplate and under the carb
best bet is to check the os website and look under the engine timeline, that show all the engine that they have manufacured

I will say mine ran very smooth and was the most forgiving engine for tuning I have seen. Not the fastest but, a good engine. I was pretty new to the nitro game I wish I would have pulled apart the pump just to see what was going on back there.

It was made like that by OS. It was strange. I have the IPB in the link above

As the piston comes down, there's pressure created in the case that pushes the mix up into the combustion chamber while the crank scoop is closed. I have to assume the hose from the case is pressurizing the scoop (rotary valve) area about the time it starts to open up again for the next cycle.

so my ? on this motor would be how do I start it the only way I can think of to is with a bump box which I will havw to put it in my firestorm to use one

---------- Post added at 11:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:35 PM ----------

instrusvtion manuel confirmed the bump box but my other ? ia what head bolts should work with this motor they are missing

As long as the head bolts will fit or are long enough they will fit. Most use a 2mm metric thread. See what you can find and if it fits..use it!

Thanks for all the input guys ill deff be trying to find some head bolts and prob try and put this motor on my firestorm to see if it will fire off on account of that being the only car i have tht i can use a bump box
also on the other thread for this motor it said you could plug the rear hole and put a new back plate on for starting at least thats what i got out of it what would be a back plate i could use

That engine probably does not have a pin on the crank for a starter shaft.
If it doesn’t, you would need a different crankshaft to use a backplate capable to use with a pull, roto or electric starter.
Pull the backplate and look to see if there is a pin on the crank journal that sticks out past the connecting rod.

Bump start will work on a revo with the correct size flywheel and a starter box that fits.

your prob right bc the motor came from the factory like it is but ill check to see anyways just for kicks and giggles lol but i didnt know that ill deff have to look into price of one for the revo if the motor runs but i dont wanna spend that kinda money just to see if it is gonna run. I'm going to build me a starting test station for a nitro motor at my dads automotive shop hes got all the stuff ill need to do it just gotta make a design in my head. i will only use it to crank and idle the motor tho bc i no not having a load on the motor and reving it wouldnt be good for the motor at all

insanely fast get ab mods to tune it he has great results with this motor i ran mine today and it was superb miles faster and more powerfull than the force one in the rtr

I have had AB mods but I still think ERCM is a way better product. Yes AB is pretty good however Robin does the best work I have seen. So far I have had three different modders and I am sticking with ERCM. What kind of engine did modded?
