Need some expert advice/opinions....

OK so I need some input. I have a guy that wants to trade me some more RC Stuff, for some more computer stuff. This is the same guy I got the sweet OFNA buggy from....so I know it's legit.

Can anyone chime in and let me know if this stuff is super old, good or bad, or worthless (Pics posted at bottom)? I'm going to Google some of this stuff as well, but it may take me some time. lol

Here is his list of stuff (He is offering ALL of it):

Trinity T-Spec - Brand New in box

RC10GT - TONS of Hop ups including a Dynamite .12 SPD (PS) motor, MIP Lightweight Flywheel, MIP 4in1 Race Clutch, MIP 360 Degree Header and Pipe, MIP Boost Bottle, MIP Temp2 Onboard Temp Guage, RRP Steel Spur, Full set of sealed Ball Bearings, Titanium Top Shaft in tranny, Carbon Fiber Bulkheads, old ass Futaba 3ch FM Radio, 3 sets of wheels

The Computer stuff I would be trading him is:

1 Custom Built Desktop - AMD Athlon 64 2400+, 1.5GB RAM, 160GB HD, Radeon 9800 SE Video Card with Heat Pipe Cooler, DVD Burner, 24GB DDS3 Tape Drive, Custome Case with Neon Light. Worth maybe $150-$200

1 Dell Inspiron 9300 Laptop - Intel 1.86Mhz Centrino (Single Core), 1.5GB RAM, 100GB HD, Wireless, Modem, and a dead video card (GeForce Go 6800 256MB) - Worth maybe $200 with the dead video card

1 Samsung 19 inch LCD (non wide screen) - Worth maybe $75-$100

Well I've done some initial research, and this Tekin stuff looks pretty high end, but from a few years ago. The RC10GT is from 2005 and the Trinity T-Spec is fairly new...model year 2008.

I think I'm just going to go for it and see what happens. Never going to use this PC stuff again anyway....so I'll do the swap and probably keep the RC10 and sell off the rest once I grab a few spare motors and such.

Worst case, his stuff is worth about the same as my stuff....so I'll just jump and sort it out later ;-)

I just saw this post. You got some nice stuff in trade for some (lets be honest here) older computer equipment with little true value to most of us.

You went from one rig a month ago to how many now?

So that makes 11, plus 2 Rolling chassis and god knows how many parts.

the computer stuff was still in great shape, but as soon as you boot it up it's worth 25% of what you paid anyway. He was stoked since he can't use this RC Stuff anymore anyway since he has had like 4 back surgeries, and I nearly poop a brick unloading this stuff. He even gave me his toolkits, and I poop you not that motor case has 20-25 motors in it....plus the motors in each car.

I need to watch out for a lightning strike or something....too many good things over the past month...I'm due for a DOOZY of a bad one.

I'm not keeping all these though....I'm pimping em to friends to see if I can get some RC buddies! lol

While a lot of the stuff is older I think you got a hell of a deal, seeing picks of some of that stuff took me way back my teenage years in RC's, mainly the radios, those are some classics, but good stuff, I have that same tool box and love it, and if it came with all that stuff in it then that is a hell of a deal....

I thought for sure he was going to empty the toolbox into a plastic bin or something, but it came the way it sits. FULL of parts and tools and he just tossed it in. I assume the Tekin stuff is pretty old, but looks like it was pretty high end in its time?
