Wow, I can't believe his Revo is doing fine without breakin! I bet your engine will last much longer than his of you do the breakin though. My slide didn't get smooth right away and it still isn't but its getting better.

My first good day

Well, the reason I couldn't keep it started was because it was still super rich on the low end. I took it in and my LHS tech took one listen for himself and cranked the LSN 3 turns out and the HSN 4 turns out. The factory break-in settings were I had it at was the LSN- 5 1/2, HSN 4 1/2 turns out.

Right after the adjustments were made it fired up on the second pull and purred the whole tank @ around 195-210 deg. without stalling.

The second tank I zipped it around the field with a few high speed passes and temps never went above 250 and on tank four I finally smoked my first spur gear.....I can live with that though :smoke:

Oh... by the way, my brothers Revo is not as fast as we both thought after a few drag races. He kept :stick: to race and I finally gave in before I smoked the spur and lets just say he don't wanna play with the Savage no more. :winnar:

Damn you, now I'm the only one with this pos that wont run.....

I finally threw in the towel and had someone else take a look at it. I thought there was no way in hell the LSN would need to be leaned out that much in this weather (45 deg). but sure enough...

I also got another pull-start in the mail today so things are on the up and up.

Well my luck ran out. Are you happy now Geardigger? :)

I couldn't keep this pile running to save my life, or my knuckles. Same settings as the other day, same temp +/- 5 degrees, totally different results though.

After bringing the motor up to operating temp (230-250) it would die when I came to a stop, sometimes right away and sometimes within 30 seconds. The only way to get it started after that was to apply full throttle and crank away with what seemed like 20-30 pulls before it would briefly fire at WFO and then die. Couple more enjoyable moments of doing this and it would eventually stay running......till I stopped of course. :censored:

To add insult to injury, my brother pulls up as I'm loading up my P.O.S....he busts out his Revo and with one flick of his electric start is ready to play. I was so mad I just hopped in my truck and left with out saying a word.
