All,

Looking at upgrading servos on my HPI RS4 EVO and would like your inputs on which ones you all prefer. I"m not looking to spend a fortune, but would like to upgrade. If possible please include some model numbers.

TIA,

Marty

The gas/brake servo is pretty good for what its used for, I use a Futaba radio system on one of my RS4 3s with a S3003 throttle and a HiTech HS605BB steering servo, very nice. On my hardcore basher RS4 3 I'm running a stock T-Maxx TQ3 radio and servos with the Traxxas 2055 high torque steering servo, it performs very well for a doner system. Also both have bearings replacing the stock bushings in the steering cranks, very nice upgrade by its self and cheap considering.

Joneser....

I had a friend suggest the bearing upgrade too. Is this a kit? I've seen some aluminum steering linkage kits on ebay, but they don't come with bearings. Where did you get your bearings, and should I do the aluminum steering linkage at the same time?

Thanks!

Marty, for a light car like the Rs4 look for something quick rather than real high torque - a Hitec 625 rather than a 645 for example. I am using Hitec digital 5625's for steering lately and really like them, and they are fairly reasonable at $54.95 on Tower.

I'm running a JR 590 on my NTC3 and have been happy with it. It's nothing special but it was an upgrade from what I had and not too much moola out of my pocket.

I am running Hitec's 625 for thottle/brake and 645 for steering. i could have just just used a standard servo for thottle/brake but i wanted something with a little more power for braking.

Mustang,
I got mine on e-bay, but I looked and could not find them. They are 6x10x3 in size, your LHS should be able to hook you up.
