I'm not a crawler guy, but wouldn't it be more beneficial to have a sensored setup for ultimate throttle control?
How do you know the stock ESC died?
I'm just curious.
Maybe have a look at a Hobbywing QUICRUN Fusion SE (2in1 FOC system) while waiting for others to chime in.

Hey guys, I was wondering what budget motors and esc you guys use… the stock system in my trx-4 died, so I’m now in need of a new motor and a new esc. I’d like to keep the whole budget under 70 dollars and it needs to be a 2pin type battery lead. I’d like a brushless. Here’s one I found that I like:

Fusion SE is only thing that fits your description but honestly for TRX4 you'd do better to put Fusion Pro in if you can squeeze a little more budget. The TRX4 has a bunch of servos and needs the little more power Fusion Pro can provide over the Fusion SE. Fusion SE will work but not as optimally for such a heavy right with so many servos.

The stock esc died because the motor leads didn’t have anything else to go to, so it short circuited the esc.

I just use a surpass hobby system and I found one for $40 before and I think they discontinued that exact combo. Probably another combo similar
