You can use any NiMH RC peak charger with an 8 cell capacity. You will just need to make an end. I'm pretty sure the manual shows you the pinout for the charge jack.
I don't charge at more than 1A. I usually charge at .5A with the MRC. Seems to give a longer lasting charge that way. I have duracell 2650ma NiMH AA's in the transmitter.
Can't recall where I got the plug though... Pretty sure I got it off a JR Nicad wall charger many years ago. I cut it off and put a receiver/servo plug on it since that's what I use for charging most of my stuff.
And hook it up to a decent peak charger like I do. You may be able to find a jack at Radio-Shack or something that will work for less than $10. Just make sure you figure out the pinout on it before plugging it in. JR's wire theirs backwards compared to futaba and airtronics I believe.
