I got 8 Rechargeable Energizer 2400mah AA Batteries. I see the radio has a charge port, is there a specific charger that has auto cut off?

Didn't the batterys come with a wall charger? If not you should go get the one made by Druracell.

You can use any NiMH RC peak charger with an 8 cell capacity. You will just need to make an end. I'm pretty sure the manual shows you the pinout for the charge jack.

I use this one:

And this one:

I don't charge at more than 1A. I usually charge at .5A with the MRC. Seems to give a longer lasting charge that way. I have duracell 2650ma NiMH AA's in the transmitter.

Can't recall where I got the plug though... Pretty sure I got it off a JR Nicad wall charger many years ago. I cut it off and put a receiver/servo plug on it since that's what I use for charging most of my stuff.

Like this:

Or you could buy just the lead:

And hook it up to a decent peak charger like I do. You may be able to find a jack at Radio-Shack or something that will work for less than $10. Just make sure you figure out the pinout on it before plugging it in. JR's wire theirs backwards compared to futaba and airtronics I believe.

watch out on which terminal is which. The neg terminal on my dx3e is the center pin, when futaba and hitec are positive in the center pin.
