I'm getting my FIRST car next week, it's a slightly used NTC3 kit and mugen mt12 motor. I have a Savage with a standard radio,so that one is out. I want to buy either a Futaba or JR. Both the radio and receiver need to be under $150.00. These are the servos that come with the car. Hitec HS-5925 Digital steering servo, Hitec HS-525 high speed servo. I'm going to the lhs to get some direction on which to get and I dont want to go in blind. I dont know if the servos are for a JR or Futaba. It was a great deal I didn't care about that at the time. Do I get a 2 or 3 channel? I would like to use it for future purchases. I know I should've bought something less but I like the hobby. I will only be bashing in a parking lot. Sorry for the long question but I am a newbie. Can you GURU's of cars help me. Thanks in advance.

More then likely the servos can be made to fit most receivers. I would look into getting a JR XS3. This is an FM radio.

Here is the RCCA LINK

I think this is a very good radio. LHS is the best way to go but damn it ...EBAY makes it hard to stay away.

The JR XS3 is a great choice. Many members of this site swear by it. As for the servos, those should fit the JR receiver without too much problem. If they don't just go to the LHS and ask for the appropriate connectors and change them out. It costs like three bucks for the connectors, and takes like five minutes to change them out.
