i just replaced th piston and sleeve on my F4.1 engine. i need to know the stock carb settings to be able to break in the new piston and sleeve. i dont have the engine manual and i can't get it downloaded off my computer. please help!

According to the Savage X manual online, all needles should be set so they are flush with their respective housings. Take your time breaking in the new P/S and since it's getting colder in NY, make sure you're able to get the engine to over 200 degrees for proper break-in.

Wrap the head with a paper towel and hold it in place with a few rubber bands. As long as it's dry out, the paper towel will help it hold the heat in. If it's below 70F outside, I'd suggest heating the engine up to at least 90F before trying to start it. It will make break-in much easier.

Brrrrrr

I use a baby sock on the engine head to keep the temp up, cuz it is getting pretty damn cold dammit!!!=devil
