need help with my 2 speed gearbox

hey all, i gota gv cage nitro a few months back and its my first rc car I've ever owned. i noticed that the gear box is locking up and the wheels wont turn at all so i took it apart and the gearbox seemed fine, also it runs fine with only rear wheel drive, but is impossible to control. the front dogbone seems to be very tight and I'm guessing that either the dog bone is bent or the chassis bent. dogbone looks straight but how important is it to be exactly true? i dont wanna buy a new one if its not the problem. can anyone suggest what it might be? and how to fix it?

...well its doing it with rear wheel drive only now too.. it either locks up completely, or its just kinda grinds every now an again, its a centrefugal type hi speed andthe low speed gear is a one way bearing type. could i just run the oneway gear on its own with a bigger pinion on the clutch bell?
