My PC is running like crap again and I thinks it's time for a reboot. In the past I have simply done this without backing up any personal files or anything like that simply because there was nothing I wanted to keep on here. Now there is and I want to save it before I reboot the comp. I have a problem though.I need to save 15.6GB worth of music and movies and about 6GB more worth of pictures and programs. I hope someone will have a better way to do this than just using a ton of 700mg cds.

would you have access to another hard drive from a freind or something or if you have another computer you can buy a usb cable (if your computer has usb?) and transfer files to it then back....ummm or buy a dual layer dvd writer
that would be like 9 gigs per disk .. or put it all in one folder compress the heck out of that folder and put on cdr's....but a second hard drive set to slave would be easy and fairly cheap

I had thought about an external hard drive but they are kinda expensive and it being the holiday season and all my funds are kinda diminished right now. I might ask my freind if he can let me use his hard drive for a little while but I'm not sure if his is even big enough. If I remember right he has like 3 or 4 of them but they are all like 10Gb LOL.Maybe I'll cal him and ask him If it will work.

yeah since the files are all like mp3s and smaller files you could put them on as many hard drives as you need
